Four Tet – Three
Twelfth studio album from Kieran Hebden is more on the subdued side.
Tierra Whack – WORLD WIDE WHACK
Off-kilter rapper who broke through with a 15 minute audio-visual album in 2018, Wold Wide Whack is her debut album proper 6 years later at 37 minutes.
HAVVK – To Fall Asleep
Irish alt-rock grunge-leaning trio’s third album “a tumultuous rollercoaster ride of anxiety, paranoia, and the longing for reconnection.”
Devon Welsh – Come With Me If You Want to Live
Former Majikal Cloudz singer’s third solo album. ‘That’s What We Needed’
Beans – Boots N Cats
Bright and scuzzy fuzz from Melbourne garage-psych band Beans on Fuzz Club. The band will release two albums in 2024.
Ham Sandwich – Live At The Olympia
A recording of the Meath band’s special 20th anniversary gig in 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin.
Dan Boeckner – Boeckner!
First solo outing from the former Wolf Parade and Operators musician ” filtering tortured indie-rock through convoluted glitchy synthesisers and electronics.”
Heavee – Unleash
The lead off from Chicago DJ and producer’s 14-track Unleash album on Hyperdub a footwork rap track brimming with asteroid-blasting sonics.
TraviS, Elzzz – Doghouse
Irish drill duo on Gliders drop 11-track mixtape album.
Blue Whale – Last Immediate Images
Belfast jazz-punk band’s latest is produced by Gilla Band’s Dan Fox.
The band (guitarists Michael O’Halloran and Ben Behzadafshar, drummer John Macormac and bassist Andrew Melville) bring a garage grunge math-rock swing to their music, as heard on ‘Carpet Man’.
Willhouse – The Vault : Volume Two
18-track collection from the Irish hip-hop producer of ‘flips’ of classic and rare freestyles in his unique old school style. that feature Costello and 4Real.
DonKobz – Crisis On Hold EP
Dublin based hip-hop artist and member of collective & record label Outstraight Records, releases a 9-track collection featuring Pager The Sloth, Beano, Brale, GI and Clbrks.
Svhymns – Lifeflash
Irish producer svhymns’ third solo project explores “upbeat rhythms, fast pace glitchy rap beats and catchy flows with lyrics delving into self reflection, consumerism and ego.” Features collaborations with producer and rap group Suspense.
The Swedish Railway Orchestra – Once Upon A Time…
Rob Smith’s electronic project with LCD undertones releases his fifth album on Blowtorch Records.
Rob Moloney – Lonesome Sway
Lonesome Sway is Rob Moloney’s adaptation of his score for Luke Murphy’s live contemporary dance show, Volcano. Produced by Attic Projects, the “psychological sci-fi thriller” was nominated for Best Soundscape, and won Best Production, at the 2021 Irish Theatre Awards. Released on Fort Evil Fruit Records.
New EPs
CelaviedMai – ISSA NEW ERA!
Galway rapper CelaviedMai is back with a new EP next week, March 15th, called ISSA NEW ERA!, and ‘Wicked Witch’ is a statement of the artist’s hip-house meets club rap banger, a collaboration with producer Ben Bix (Meltybrains? / Sim Simma).
The EP features more Bix production, alongside LOD Productions and contributions from Qbanaa, Plantain Papi, Breezy, Arveene, Zapho, Tadgh Byrne, Alan McKee, Frankie Grimes and Daniel Cregan Whelan.
Nerves – Glórach EP
Nerves are an experimental punk band from the West of Ireland fronted by Kyle Thornton on vocals/guitar with Charlie McCarthy on bass and Adam Nealon on drums. “They understand the Irish sensibilities around death, degradation and emigration in Ireland.”
