Friday is album release day and here’s a rundown of what’s been released on DSPs and physical releases in record shops.


James Blake – Friends That Break Your Heart

Blakey’s first album in three years. SZA and JID features.

Canadian live jazz band’s new album is less rap instrumentals, more jazz fusion. Features musical contributions from Arthur Verocai, Karriem Riggins, Terrace Martin, Lara aji and acclaimed harpist Brandee Younge. On XL Recordings.


Elaine Mai – Home

The long awaited debut album from the Irish electronic producer features guests Maykay, Ailbhe Reddy, Loah Sinéad White and some bangers.


Magdalena Bay – Mercurial World

Fun American duo of electro-pop music.


Oh Wonder – 22 Break

London duo who broke through with melodious modern pop wrote a break up album.


Sam Fender – Seventeen Going Under

Fender makes anthemic Springsteen-esque music but he’s from Tyneside.


Porches – All Day Gentle Hold!

Fifth album from Aaron Maine, on Domino Records. ‘Back3School’.


Ladyhawke – Time Flies

First album in five years from the electro pop artist.


DJ Harvey – The Sound Of Mercury Rising Vol. III

Legendary balearic disco and house player DJ Harvey presents 16 cuts of glistening yacht boogie, star-eyed house, debonaire boogie disco and blissed out downstrokes.


Efterklang – Windflowers

Danish band return with their sixth album of chamber-pop.


shiv – The Love Interlude EP

Paris-based Zimbabwean/Irish R&B artist Shiv releases her love-centric new EP with each of the four tracks representing a season of the year.
