Friday is album release day and here’s a rundown of what’s been released on DSPs and physical releases in stores.
Wolf Alice – Blue Weekend
The big release. The third album from English four-piece takes a leap in scope.
Green Tea Peng – Man Made
Debut album from unique London soul artist.
The Avalanches – Since I Left You… 20th Anniversary edition
Expanded edition featuring remixes and contributions from Cornelius, MF DOOM, Prince Paul, Stereolab, EDAN and more.
Loraine James – Reflection
Second album on Hyperdub from UK producer “explores themes of isolation, introspection and hope.”
Poté – A Tenuous Tale Of Her
Sylvern Mathurin’s debut album on Bonobo’s Outlier label. Features a collaboration with Damon Albarn.
Skinner – Gunge EP
12″ vinyl and 5-track EP of garage sax and punk music from the young Irish musician.
SORBET – This Was Paradise
Chris Ryan’s debut album as Sorbet, his solo work when not on the drums with Robocobra Quartet and producing with the likes of NewDad, Just Mustard and more. Features Maija Sofia, Arborist, Bleeding Heart Pigeons and more.
Japanese Breakfast – Jubilee
Michelle Zauner’s third album of indie-pop centred songwriting.
Rostam – Changephobia
Second solo album from former Vampire Weekend man.
Mndsgn – Rare Pleasure
LA-based musician and producer’s third full-length album for Stones Throw.
Fousheé – time machine
The New Jersey singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist’s debut album on Trackmasters Entertainment/RCA Records.
The Zen Arcade – High Fidelity EP
All but one member of The Strypes has formed this new garage rock band, who also have a sprightly buzzy podcast, that really is like listening to friends having a chat.
Martina Topley-Bird – Pure Heart EP
A 3-track taster from a forthcoming album, produced by Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack.
Hildegard – Hildegard
Montreal artists Helena Deland and Ouri’s joint album as Hildegarde, recently featured here.
Fish Go Deep – This Bit Of Earth
New album from Cork dance music legends.
Rory Sweeney – I Like You
Dublin electronic producer released this album last Saturday so including it here.
Squarepusher – Feed Me Weird Things
25th Anniversary edition. Remastered.
