The Nialler9 weekly Dublin gig guide
Not a whole lot of things happening for the Bank Holiday weekend apart from Life Festival in Mullingar where Joker, Ricardo Villalobos, Mad Professor and more play for a seemingly pricey €136. Back in the city, it’s the Beatyard Weekender with the likes of Andy Votel, Rubberbandits, Caspa, Howard Marks and more in the Twisted Pepper. During the week, there’s Band of Horses, the Leftfield reunion (with only one member mind) and the brilliant Sam Amidon (highly recommended).
On Thursday, Hotflush Recordings boss Scuba is playing Salt at Twisted Pepper. Worth checking out especially if you’ve heard his Triangulation LP. I’ve got two passes to giveaway to the gig – send the answer to the question – “What is the name of Scuba’s record label?” to [email protected] before Wednesday night to win.
