Optimo are playing a free party for The Big Romance’s fifth birthday

The Parnell Street bar has announced as week of birthday celebrations for its fifth birthday today.

The first guests are Glasgow DJ legends Optimo who will play a five-hour all-vinyl set in the back room on the Toby Hatchett Soundsystem.

The event is free in and will be likely absolutely rammed so get in early for their 8pm start on Friday November 24th.

More events will be announced for the bar’s birthday from November 23rd to 26th.



We are massive fans of Optimo, and couldn’t think of any duo better to mark this special occasion. Their eclectic sound is exactly what we’re about, and we cannot wait to hear what they have in store.

Meanwhile, our next Listen Closely event at The Big Romance on Wednesday December 13th is announced next week.
