Oxfam Ireland looking for gig promoters to host a gig in aid of the charity
Last year, Oxfam launched Gig Maker, an initiatie asking people, schools, colleges, business and promoters to host an event in aid of Oxfam Ireland.
In its 10 year since the charity started Oxjam, its homegrown music initiative that hosts a tent at Electric Picnic among other places, they have issued a renewed call for Gig Makers.
Oxjam showcases home-grown acts while raising money for Oxfam’s work from emergency response in places like Syria and South Sudan to long-term development projects that help people lift themselves out of poverty and campaigning that raises the voice of the vulnerable.
If you’re interested in getting involved, you can register with Oxfam and get a Gig Maker pack that help you with guidelines, posters and support from Oxjam Ambassadors if you need extra help putting on an event.
