Premiere: SLANEY delivers pop optimism on second single ‘Lucky To Be Alive’
Last November, new Irish folk-pop artist Slaney Power released her first single under her SLANEY moniker. ‘Recharge My Soul’ was a gentle, introspective cut built on stripped-back instrumentation and cautious melodies.
Today, SLANEY is back and we are premiering her second single ‘Lucky To Be Alive’ on the site.
‘Lucky To Be Alive’ is a piece of understated pop presenting heaps of motivational optimism. SLANEY affirms “it’s a song about finding light during dark times in life and trying to stay positive no matter what. That life is precious and fragile and you should enjoy it and appreciate it while you can” and with the track’s summery instrumentation and Power’s hushed yet infectious vocals, ‘Lucky To Be Alive’ is definitely a ray of that light.
‘Lucky to Be Alive’ is available on all online platforms on Friday, June 28th.
