The Record Room in Limerick will play host to a merch and record fair featuring stalls from some of Limerick’s most exciting bands this weekend.
On Saturday, December 14th, from 12pm to 5pm, the venue will be transformed into a hub of music and merch with stalls from a swath of Limerick artists, record dealers, and music collectives.
The lineup of participants features T.A. Narrative, His Father’s Voice, SWEETS, 50 Foot Woman, Emma Langford, Hermitage Green, Siege of Limerick/Bad Reputation, Anna’s Anchor, The Hitchers, The Low Field, Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets, and Zealot Cult.
Wired 99.9FM will broadcast live from the venue between 12pm and 2pm, chatting to artists, and showcasing the best of Limrock and its festive spirit – 99.9 FM and online where you listen to radio.
Later in the evening, the Record Room welcomes the return of Jinx Lennon, the punk poet troubadour from Dundalk. Jinx is a force of nature on stage, delivering razor-sharp, deeply personal, and often hilarious, performances.
Supporting him is UK artist Hailey Beavis, a remarkably versatile artist, she blends brooding electro-pop, celestial strings, and folk-tinged melodies, effortlessly shifting her voice to match each song’s unique emotional landscape.
After, Tom Prendergast will take over with a typically eclectic and electric set that will keep the crowd dancing into the wee hours.
The idea sparked from a conversation about the anniversary of the Live at Record Room album, and we wanted to mark it in some way. We’re not making claim to it being an original one, music fans will be aware of the annual Merchy Christmas in the Grand Social in Dublin, but we wanted to do something for Limerick acts – something that will hopefully appeal to all shoppers and not just those aware of our thriving music scene
