Sorcha Richardson stands up for herself on ‘4AM’
A Nialler9 featured regular Sorcha Richardson, the Irish but New York-based musician and songwriter has always been one to spend time with, whatever the style that she’s working with.
‘4AM’ begins with the line “I dropped my headphones in the harbour, so I hummed your song the whole way home.” and adds some electronic texture to her craft. It was recorded with Alex Casnoff in a backyard studio in LA. Richardson says the song is about “how being alone and confident is better than in a wounded and self-effacing in misguided relationship.”
