Stephen James Smith for seated Dublin headline show
Stephen James Smith is the Dublin poet, playwright and wordsmith who has been quietly building his rep over the last 15 years. It appeared to have spiked last year when St. Patrick’s festival commissioned him to write My Ireland’, the accompanying short film of which has been viewed over 300,000 times. Since then, the Dubliner has been performing across the UK, Ireland and US his work has lead to a commission called ‘Bring it Home’ by Aviva to write a poem to highlight the recent rugby final between England & Ireland on Paddy’s day. The poem garnered 750,000 views across socials and his videos have amassed over 2.5 million views total.
Smith is now a recognised artist and no better time to put on a headline solo show than on November 24th in Button Factory for a seated show. Tickets €15 inclusive of booking fee, on sale Friday 29th June at 9am.
