SX2: The Waterford electronic duo on 10 songs in their DJ rotation

Scott and Clive Sullivan aka SX2 are playing all night long this Saturday at The Cellar in Dublin.

The Waterford dance brothers with a release under their belt on Disco Halal share 10 songs they have been loving lately ahead of this Saturday’s all-night long.

1.

Meera

Blomst

From the first time we heard this, it became an all time favourite for us. Feels like Meera condensed every possible emotion into nine minutes and 13 seconds.

2.

DJ Koze, Sophia Kennedy

Drone Me Up, Flashy (&ME Remix)

In Classic &ME fashion, his tunes tell a story from start to finish. As soon as you hear Sophia Kennedy’s voice it’s hard for a dancefloor not to be interested in what’s about to happen.

3.

Royel Otis

Foam (Sam Alfred Remix)

On repeat since its release. A perfect tune for peak time when the energy is high and the love is in the room.

4.

SOMMA, LE YORA

Que Pasa

Another track perfect for peak time. This time, a deep repetitive bassline and hypnotic vocal sure to keep you moving.

5.

Marc Gonen

Wrong

Madorasinthehouse records are one of our favourite labels. Everything they put out is top. We spun this for the first time to a full tent at All Together Now recently and it felt like it ramped the energy x1000.

6.

Musumeci, Phunkadelica

YO!

This one is guaranteed to get a dance floor moving, and if it doesn’t, you’re weird.

7.

Two Lone Swordsmen

Sex Beat

It would feel wrong to compile a list of music and not mention the late great Andrew Weatherall. Always on the memory stick for when it’s time to get some guitars involved in the mix.

8.

RE/MIND

NOBODY

If you’ve been to an SX2 gig this summer, or just been in our company recently, you’ll have heard this. Real sunrise vibes for when you’ve put in your shift on the dance floor… beautiful.

9.

Floating Points

Del Oro

When it’s time to shake things up and melt some brains, Floating Points is one of the best in the business. Another must have on the USB.

10.

Vincenzo, Language

Merry Go Round

After the madness of most gigs we like to wind down with some more chilled out vibes. Recently after our gig at Electric Picnic we went back to our tent and played this on repeat staring at the sky. Good times!!
