Tebi Rex’s ‘People Pleaser’ music video is a ’90s sitcom-inspired hoot
No worries if not!
Matt Ó and Max Zanga’s alt-hip-hop Tebi Rex project has dropped a sweet music video for their recent song ‘People Pleaser’, which pitches the song in a ’90s sitcom world where the main character Lauren Farrell as the ultimate people pleaser, who capitulates to everyone else’s plans and steps in to help and do everything in order to be liked.
The song is from an upcoming EP called Sitcom, which follows on from the Tebi Rex’s two albums The Young Will Eat The Old and It’s Gonna Be Okay.
The new EP is inspired by Classic Theatre, Fantasy Literature, and the simple yet cyclical narratives of the medium of sitcom television.
