The 1975 announce Dublin & Cork summer shows

Avatar

The 1975 juggernaut rolls on.

Not content with having played a big tour of UK and Ireland including a Dublin date last month, The 1975 have announced two more gigs in Ireland this summer, along with last week’s announcement of a big London show at Finsbury Park.

Matty Healy and pals are due back to Ireland for two gigs:

Wednesday June 7th, St. Anne’s Park, Dublin

Tuesday June 13th, Musgrave Park, Cork

The shows are on sale this Friday February 24th at 9am on Ticketmaster and Pre-sale access is up for registration now and going on sale Wednesday.

Ticket price is to be announced but a gauge is that London show is priced at £57.50 so expect a ticket price of €65/€70 or thereabouts.

The show is The 1975 At Their Very Best, which our podcast host Andrea Clearly recently discussed the show and the press reaction to Matty Healy’s on-stage performance, a tour that has seen him eat raw meat, kiss members of the audience and doing Nazi salutes as part of the show’s dramatics.

Most recently though, Healy appeared on The Adam Friedland Show podcast where he joined in mocking people of different ethnicities and joins in on being derogatory to women generally, which has been yet another point of controversy for the singer, and the band. Surprise! Your favourite singer might not be a super nice guy!
