The National explore a lonely childhood in video for new single 'Light Years'

The video features scenes from a short film named after the band’s forthcoming I Am Easy To Find LP.

So far so good when it comes to The National’s forthcoming I Am Easy To Find LP, due for release May 18th.

We really liked ‘You Had Your Soul With You’ when it dropped last month, I think the new single ‘Light Years’ is better again.

The National - 'Light Years'

The track is reminiscent of the material the band were creating during the Trouble Will Find Me era. A bare-bones, piano and vocal track perfectly suited to Matt Berninger’s intense delivery. There’s few group’s as capable of creating emotion and atmosphere in their work as the Ohio natives.

The video, shot in warm black and white, is taken from a forthcoming short film that shares its name with the new LP. ‘I Am Easy To Find’ is directed by Mike Mills, and starring Alicia Vikander.

All Together Now ticket holders will be delighted.
