The Pogues members will lead a band of musicians in performing the band’s 1984 debut album Red Roses For Me to 3Arena in Dublin on December 17th 2024.
The 40th Anniversary performance of the album will also serve as a tribute to the Pogues’ singer Shane MacGowan who died in November 2023.
The gig is the brainchild of the Pogues member Spider Stacy, and Pogues members Jem Finer, James Fearnley, James Walbourne along with appearances from Tom Coll of Fontaines DC, Goat Girl’s Holly Mullineaux, Alfie’s Fiachra Meek, Bad Seeds Jim Sclavunos and George Vjestica and Jordan O’Leary from The Scratch.
Guest singers are to be announced.

Red Roses For Me features the songs ‘The Auld Triangle’, ‘Waxie’s Dargle’, ‘Boys From the County Hell, ‘Streams of Whiskey’, ‘Kitty’ and ‘Dark Streets of London‘ and the tribute gig was first performed in London in May at Hackney Empire and featured Nadine Shah, Daragh Lynch of Lankum with Iona Zajac, Brigid Mae Power, The Deadlians’ Sean Fitzgerald and Junior Brother.
