The Unscene Bazaar was set up in 2018 at Limerick’s The Wickham Tap as an Unscene Music launch party for beatmaker Mankyy‘s the lonesome planet man. Since then, the event has gone from strength to strength – providing a home for a rotating cast of Irish experimentalists and boundary-pushers with its raucous parties.
The Unscene Bazaar events are always free-admission and to cover the costs of keeping the parties going, Unscene have released a wonderfully stacked compilation with all tracks contributed by acts who have played there since 2018. Featuring tracks from the likes of Acid Granny, Elaine Howley, Rokaia, Naive Ted and Clerk 5 to name a few, the compilation is an essential glimpse into the leftfield noises being made across the country.
The compilation is ‘pay what you want’ on Bandcamp now. The seventh edition of the Unscene Bazaar is on in the Wickham Tap on December 15 with performances by Djackulate, NITS, Liv3, Clerk 5, JusMe and DJ Egg.
