Rapper Tierra Whack has returned with a new song and video called ‘Chanel Pit’
It’s the artist’s first proper single since 2021’s R&B? EP as we’re not counting the Santana cover on the Minions soundtrack or a remix.
‘Chanel Pit’ finds Whack returning to the bright spright production of her earlier work with a beat by Nick Verruto, and a video with Whack going through a car wash without a car, directed by frequent collaborator Alex Lill.
The song is the first song from a 2024 album, the artist’s second after the breakthrough Whack World album, which arrived of course, in 2018, with a 15-tracks over 15 minutes with accompanying music videos / short film.
A Tierra Whack film is showing in US theatres and on Hulu on Hulu on Nov. 24, 2023, charting the rise of the rapper. The film, directed by Chris Moukarbel, is called Cypher, and was made in collaboration with Black-led media platform, Andscape.
