Two recommendations live from Stephen’s Green (Podcast)

The summer holidays are in effect and it’s affecting our podcast schedule. So rather than do nothing this week, Niall offers two recommendations for you to check out live from an outside broadcast on a sunny Tuesday in Stephen’s Green Park in Dublin city.

1) For Those I Love

An uncompromising Dublin love letter to a best friend who passed away.

This tribute to the passing of Paul Curran of Burnt Out blazes with love, grief and good memories.

2) Chernobyl

The HBO show really is as good as you’ve heard, with a focus on the bureaucratic distortion around the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of 1986 in Ukraine in the Soviet Union. I thought it would be too tough a watch but I’m a big fan of factual historical drama and the five-part miniseries is fascinating all the way through.

Also recommended, is the accompanying Chernobyl Podcast with writer Craig Mazin.
