I prefer the low-moving epic sound of Alt-j’s ‘Hunger Of The Pine’ than the spindly rock of ‘Left Hand Free’ (it still sounds like it’s been designed to soundtrack an advertisement).
‘Hunger Of The Pine’ is weighty, defies expectation and samples Miley Cyrus for chrissakes.
The video, directed by Nabil, has a similar epicness to it, as a running man gets shot at with arrows for the entire duration of the song.
