Watch: Royal Yellow debuts live performance of ‘Still Pt. 1’
Mark O’Brien’s Royal Yellow project released an epic skyscraping 12-minute electronic production called ‘Until’ recently. It was the first track from an upcoming EP and today O’Brien has given us a first look into another aspect of the EP.
Presented via a live performance video of a more contemporary ambient track with vocals by the artist, where O’Brien builds the tracks loops throughout the piece with accompaniment by Ryan Hargadon in a clip recorded at The Clinic Recording Studios by director Ronan Fox of Tiny Ark.
O’Brien suggests the upcoming EP will be a concept record, exploring “the contrasting yet complementary states of stillness and restlessness.”
Royal Yellow’s ‘Still : Until’ E.P is out June 3rd — Limited edition vinyl pre-orders are available now at tonicrecordings.com/merch
