WERK is a new meetup happening this Sunday aimed at the “evolving independent network for womxn and LGBTQ+ DJs, and electronic music and event industry professionals.”
The brainchild of LUST Collective, wit the aim of fostering collaboration and connection, WERK happens at Street 66 in Dublin from 2pm to 5pm this Sunday April 21st.
it’s aimed at women and LGBTQ+ working in the industry, “whether you’re a lighting technician, sound engineer, visual artist, musician, FX specialist, event organizer, poster designer, self-employed, subcontractor, side hustler, entrepreneur, creative, technician, marketer, involved in music advertising, club management, bookings, part of agencies, collectives, handling social media, merchandising, or writing”…
WERK’s event programme will feature a chat from a guest artist in the electronic music scene talking about their music and process, networking opportunities, an open deck slots for DJs to get feedback, and an ideation space for collaboration chats.
