MIDASpaces are a Dublin collective born out of DCU Masters thesis project which focuses on the creation of a new virtual space for a performer to interact with. Projections are mapped to a physical stage and a performer’s movements are tracked using a synthesis of hardware and software. These movements then affect the projections creating a real-time virtual space for a performer to interact and manipulate.
The collective have a show called Codes featuring the above with dancers and live musicians running at the Fringe Festival this week and I have two tickets to Friday night’s show at 6.30pm in The Lir Gallery, Grand Canal Dock. The show runs from Tuesday til Saturday. To enter the competition, email [email protected] with MIDASpaces as the subject before Thursday at 5pm.
