Win tickets to the Meteor Choice Music Prize gigs in Cork and Galway this weekend

This weekend two special Meteor Choice Music Prize gigs take place in Cork and Galway to celebrate 10 years of the Irish album of the year prize.

Playing live in Cyprus Avenue, Cork this Sunday and Roisin Dubh, Galway this Monday are Delorentos, Villagers and Jape.


Tickets are only available through Meteor and they’ve given me a pair of passes for each gig to give to two of you. So, email me today [email protected] before 4pm to be in with a chance to win. Include your name, phone number and choice of gig of the two.

The shortlist for this year’s Meteor Choice Music Prize will be announced on Wednesday, January 7th 2015, and the winning Irish album will be announced at the Live Event in Vicar Street, Dublin on Thursday 5th March 2015.

  1. The ‘hysterical’ girl theme seems to be a common motif for ambiguous frustration or neurosis in songs. That John Hopkins video has a similar vibe going on. All the while the men stand around looking sane… I dunno where it’s coming from… ‘Madwoman in the Attic’ springs to mind. That being said the video looks great as usual for Feel Good Lost and Talos have really carved out a nice ol’ sound for themselves.
