Wynona Bleach, Molly Sterling and Havvk amongst acts announced for Women’s Work 2019

Ruth Cronin

The Oh Yeah Music Centre has announced the details of its fourth Women’s Work festival taking pace this June 5th-9th in Belfast.

The festival is an annual celebration of women in music and will take place across five days and nights and includes a range of activities that are open to all genders and include showcases, gigs, special events, panels, talks, and workshops.

The music line-up for theistical is strong with acts including Wynona Bleach, Molly Sterling, Gemma Bradley, Havvk and Kyoto Love Hotel on the bill.

Underpinning four of the events this year is ‘Women In Music’, a funding initiative through Help Musicians NI. One of these is FairPlé, a campaign to achieve gender balance in Traditional Music and Folk and they will present a series of talks and discussions at the Duncairn Arts Centre during the weekend.
