Wyvern Lingo are playing a special live stream show this Wednesday evening June 23rd from the National Concert Hall.

Wyvern Lingo’s Radio Somewhere is happening as part of the NCH / Sounding the Feminists Music Project Award and is a “radio fantasy hour” in collaboration with visual artist 1iing Heaney and musical performances and spoken word contributions from Loah, Denise Chaila and possibly, more on the night at 8pm.

Bespoke visuals designed by 1iing Heaney, will accompany the performance drawing on songs from Wyvern Lingo’s recent album Awake You Lie.

“This year we were delighted to expand the Sounding the Feminists Scheme to include new Project and Recording Awards in addition to our Commission Awards. Today, we are thrilled to announce our Project Award winners Wyvern Lingo’s exclusive livestream Radio Somewhere on June 23rd from the National Concert Hall. This imaginative, engaging and skilful audio-visual performance is a most worthy recipient of the award.

Robert Read, CEO of the National Concert Hall

“We were thrilled to be able to expand the STF/NCH Commissioning Scheme this year to projects and recording, which ensured a more open, diverse and relevant reach across the wide range of music-making activities happening throughout Ireland today. Wyvern Lingo are a wonderful Irish trio and we are delighted that this project award has helped expand their output at home and abroad. STF are proud of the innovative and high standard of applications received from individual women and groups led by women across all three schemes and hope that these awards continue to help support great art, which might not otherwise find a voice.”

Karen Power, Chair of Sounding the Feminists
