Was just about to tell you that the link wasn’t working, but I tried once more and it did! Huzzah. More than likely this knackered computer in work than anything on your end.
Looking forward to listening to this and the gig tonight. I thought it was going to be impossible to NOT see Halfset this week, but after missing them before Holy Fuck on Monday, and with the Minotaur Shock gig cancelled, all I have to do is turn up slightly late tonight and I’m sorted. Though I have nothing against them, and should probably check them out.
They are really good Damo.Try them sometime.
KDamo re: halfset i think what you have just said be incredibly harsh. halfsets new album has been getting very favorable reviews & they are very accomplished live. i would recommend you take the opportunity to go hear them first before dismissing them so out of hand like that :o)
“a place to stay”, “desire lines”, & “salmon” are my favourites off their new album (which is well worth the purchase as you also get a dvd too 🙂

one of the best irish albums produced this year imho.
Should be a good gig. Absolutely loving that Deerhoof song. Makes me smile every time.
Was only talking about OOIOO to some randomer in Whelans last Friday who seemed to be obsessed with Pivot. Coincidence hmmmm.
Was his name Stephen?
Jellyman, I wasn’t being harsh on Halfset, I was just joking. It was nothing to do with my judgement of their music, as I haven’t even had a chance to listen to their new album yet. It was just that they seemed to be supporting everybody this week and with the gigs I was choosing, it seemed inevitable that I’d see them once or twice this week. As things panned out though, with me turning up late and MS being cancelled, this proved not to be the case.
I would like to publicly state that I am not racist against Halfset. Yet.
go on ye racist
should try them as a lubricant
