Loyle Carner returns to Dublin for a headline show at the National Stadium on Saturday August 29th 2026, making good on last year’s cancelled show.
Carner first emerged in 2013 and has built one of the most devoted fanbases in UK rap through a combination of diaristic lyricism and genuinely ambitious production.
His 2017 debut Yesterday’s Gone dealt with grief and coming-of-age; 2019’s Not Waving, but Drowning deepened that emotional intelligence; and 2024’s hugo, a taut exploration of Black identity and anger landed him his second UK Top 3 album and a headline slot at All Points East’s 35,000-capacity Victoria Park.
Two Mercury Prize shortlistings, BRIT and NME nominations, 1.1 billion streams, and sold-out shows at Alexandra Palace, Wembley Arena and the Royal Albert Hall later, he arrives in Dublin at the peak of his powers.
The show follows the release of his fourth album hopefully ! last year – a life-affirming record exploring fatherhood, childhood and alternative music that marks a significant sonic shift for the London artist. It’s his most personal work yet in a career that has always traded in the unflinchingly personal.

Beyond the music, Carner has become one of the more thoughtful public figures in his field – a vocal advocate around dyslexia and ADHD, founder of the Chilli Con Carner cookery workshops, and recipient of an honorary doctorate from UAL last year. hopefully ! feels like the culmination of all of it: the same local hero, now one of the UK’s most vital voices.
