The Dublin collective’s most hook-driven release yet, written in a few weeks and featuring Dove Ellis on ‘G unit’, is out November 6th on FAMM.
Bricknasty have announced a new EP, forever, out Friday November 6th via FAMM, and shared new single ‘the dom perignons’ alongside a video.
‘the dom perignons’ is yet another marked departure for the band following the recent breezy ‘bobinov’; with the tune giving early 2000s 2-step and production vibes, with strings and synths to the fore with a switchup at the end of t.he song
The upcoming seven-track EP was written in just a few weeks and is the band’s most direct body of work to date. It draws on dance, contemporary R&B, trad folk, jazz and hip hop, with it said to feature bigger choruses, sharper crescendos and grooves built to move people, simplifying the complexity of their sound without losing the strangeness – their most immediate music yet. “Before, we made it rocket science, but it’s not rocket science,” says Fatboy.
forever follows BLACKS LAW, which navigated faith, addiction, political disillusionment and human volatility across nine tracks, and was recently nominated for an AIM award.
