Beck appears in Bergman black and white for a new video for one of the standout songs from his recent album Morning Phase. The video is by Sophie Muller and features a nod to Beck past, ‘Loser’ era.
The Song Reader album, a release featuring interpretations of Beck’s sheet music (coming out in a joint venture between Capitol Records and the glasses website Warby Parker -?) from Jarvis Cocker, Jack White, Jeff Tweedy, Fun., Jack Black and Beck too, is out now. I couldn’t get into it myself.
Still, one superb album a year is enough.
