Totally forgot to mention this… on the 8th and 9th of March the Modeselektor DJ Team are hitting Electric City, Dublin and Fast Eddies, Cork respectively.
Going to be one hell of a night if it’s even half as good as their Electric Picnic performance!
Nice video here to sate your appetite:

Heard this alright Nialler but it’s not as exciting news as a live set from Modeselektor would be (Which I’ve heard rumoured for TBMC early summer…)!
Maybe not but it’s cool none-the-less.
Oh yeh, I realized after I’d said I’d look out for you at the Channel One that I don’t know what you look like so that was pretty pointless. My bad.
*lol*, good gig though eh? I thought I had a vague idea of your visage from one of your EP photos but I gave up after asking some randomer who I thought was you if his name was Niall. It wasn’t…
Heading to Trail Of Dead tonight at the Music Centre, not really sure what to expect from the setlist…
Yeh I thought it was great. I was up the front givin’ it loads.
I hate when you think you’ve spotted a blogger but you end up embarassed. It’s only happened once so far…but still
sorry for hijacking the comments, but guess who’s not touring Ireland? LCD Soundsystem! they’re doing a stack of UK gigs, but none over here whatsoever. poo!
Probably end up playing Oxegen or something equally horrible.. boo indeed.
The ‘Live’ gig is due to take place in May in the TMBC and is being organised by the Foggy Notions gang…apparently!
Sweeeeeet. Makes Sense I suppose.
Cahony, What were TOTD like?
Trail Of Dead were awesome. Really enjoyed it. I’ve only really listened to Source Tags & Codes, the other albums just briefly. So I think we had about 4 or 5 songs from Source Tags & Codes – it was amazing to hear “Relative Ways” live. Some of the songs I didn’t know were really great also. I don’t remember hearing such a good sound system so well exercised since Sleater-Kinney in the same venue.
On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a male dominated audience at a gig in Ireland before – and I’ve seen a few like that!
Of course PMc promised a review on the blog today, I’ll have to keep my fingers crossed 😉
Gonna head along for the hardcore organ action tonight also. If that sentence reads ok…
Missed them in Belfast there a few weeks ago. I’ll have to get down for the Dublin show I think… They were incredible live at EP, I’m sure their DJ sets are top drawer too…
