DJ and producer iZem knows how to make Latin-flavoured electronic music that beats and bumps with a brightness and sunny disposition. In December, the sometime Dublin/Lisbon-based DJ ‘Sadeo’ featuring local talent Feather. iZem has an album on the way called Hafa and he’s been picked up for plays on KCRW and Giles Peterson (naturally, this is totally his bag). ‘Water’ followed.
New song ‘Agua Viva features another exotic sounding Brazilian singer Nina Miranda of the band Smoke City and is a fine slice of brass-inflected soulful electronic beats.
