hearing a brand new radiohead track is like slipping into your tangled up unmade bed after a long hard day…….soooooooo comforting 😀
listening to the album…..any one else getting the flying lotus influence???????
Not really? Other than the arrangements feeling a bit loose (hence jazzy) I don’t really hear it.
OK first song is definitely a bit Fly Lo.
First reaction to album: loose and limber arrangements (ahem), fairy understated, no bombastic instrumentation, no WTF moments. Pleasant.
Can’t wait for the beat producers to get working on those mashup albums and turn The King Of Limbs into head-nodding bangers!
Bloom is quite FlyLo but i’d say thats the extent of it, little by little, separator, lotus flowers and codex are immediate highlights, i really love it.. The percussion is fantastic at times, you can see the influence of what he was listening to on his office charts over the the year! But there is going to be lovers/haters of it i think..
i like it ,not as amazing as in rainbows ,or ground breaking as kid a or amnesiac ,but a decent album all the same.
i think the percussion on a few traks (recoding live drum takes and chopping and layering )and the structure of textures are very fly lo inspired ,and i dont mean in a bad way 🙂
aching to get the special edition.
nivce to see thom dancing isnt it?
