We are known as fans of the Icelandic rap group Daughters of Reykjavik (formerly Reykjavíkurdætur) around these parts and with most of the world in lockdown and with a new album Soft Spot coming out on May 29th, the 9-strong collective have released one of the best examples of home-made Zoom-style music videos we’ve seen so far for their song ‘Thirsty Hoes’.
With a bit of careful pre-planning about their screen placement, with the help of some family and friends and a fair bit of nudity at the end to boot (it’s NSFW but you’re at home so..), the Daughters of Reykjavik have created one of the best examples of making the best out of Miss Rona we’ve seen so far since lockdown began.
