Vinyl Festival in IMMA Dublin announces day-by-day breakdown & 2 for 1 tickets for RSD
Vinyl is a cultural event taking place at the IMMA/ Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin from May 5th to 7th which will see a host of big names in music coming together to talk about all things Vinyl including Kevin Shields, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Shane MacGowan, Chrissie Hynde, Bob Geldof, Geoff Barrow, Cillian Murphy, Tracey Thorn, Gruff Rhys and Billy Bragg.
The event across the bank holiday weekend will feature programmed talks, panel discussions, curated collections, music performances, album playbacks, art exhibits, pop-up stores, signings, and equipment showcases.
To celebrate Record Store Day, Vinyl Festival are offering a very special ticket deal tomorrow, Saturday 21 April. From 7am until midnight tomorrow, you can buy 2 for 1 tickets.
Here’s the breakdown so far:
The festival will feature specially programmed talks, panel discussions, curated collections, music performances, album playbacks, art exhibits, pop-up stores, signings and equipment showcases – an absolute must for any music fan.
There will also be performances by August Wells, Cathy Davey, Seamus Fogarty, Hedge Schools, David Keenan, Malojian, Brigid Mae Power, Ailbhe Reddy, Them There, and Trouble Pilgrims.
Exhibitions at VINYL will include James Lavelle’s ‘Daydreaming With UNKLE’, Vaughan Oliver’s ‘Walking Backwards’, Peter Boettcher’s ‘Photographing Kraftwerk’, Stephen Averill’s ‘Death Valley 86’, ‘The X-Ray Audio Project’, and Rory Gallagher’s vinyl collection as assembled by the guitarist’s brother, Donal.
