Aislinn Logan crafts expert glitch pop on new single ‘Joyride’
Late 2017 and summer 2018 saw the introduction of Belfast native Aislinn Logan to the Irish music scene.
A slew of singles, including the superb ‘Spree‘ and ‘Fair Game‘ , helped establish Logan as an 80s orientated synth pop artist.
After a brief pause, Logan returned on Friday with new single ‘Joyride’.
The new track is Logan’s finest to date. ‘Joyride’ is more futurist affair than much of Logan’s other material. It’s a glitchy, sugar-sweet pop jam.
The track is taken from her Look, I’m Flyin EP, which is due for release in November.
Logan recently parted ways with her label and management, she says given the circumstances “it feels apt to be releasing a pop take on female empowerment”.
We like this tune a lot. Keep your eyes peeled for more from Logan in the weeks and months ahead.
