Album stream: Meljoann – Squick

meljoann meljoann

The brilliant debut album from Meljoann is here . Introduced in June as “Irish electro skweee funk”, the album lives up to the promise of tracks previously shared ‘So Academic’, ‘E.X.I.T’ and ‘Tour Guide’. Squick is out this Friday.

  1. wow this is brilliant. surely we’re at the point where someone from the dublin scene is going to get the international blog love- i think this could be the one…

  2. This is the most impressive Irish release ive come across since fuck knows when. There really isn’t a precedent for anything this ‘pop’ orientated.A real breath of fresh air.

    1. I’m all over the Solar Bears Naomi, love that record. Delighted that they’re getting press in the US, well deserved. Between that album, this album and Nouveaunoise’s it’s been a cracking year for melodic Irish electronica.

  3. Great Stuff Meljoann !!!!!!!!!!!

Everytime I hear it I feel as if I’m listening to a new record !

It must take some serious and special kind of talent to be able to put stuff like this together !!

Well done Nialler9 for bringing this lady into the public domain !
