An LCD Soundsystem exhibition with a Pat Mahoney DJ set is coming to Guinness Open Gate Brewery in June
An LCD Soundsystem exhibition featuring photography and artwork of the band will have a Dublin home at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery from June 1st to 22nd.
The exhibition is the work of Ruvan Wijesooriya’s photography collection who has been documenting LCD Soundsystem in a AAA official photographer capacity for a number of years. His photos alongside 11 LCD pop art paintings by artist and exhibition curator Joe Henry will be on display.
Wijesooriya also shot the artwork for covers is This is Happening, the album and and ‘Bye Bye Bayou’ the track while documenting and living with the band in the studio in NYC and LA and in a live setting.
Pat Mahoney, drummer of LCD Soundsystem will play a DJ set to mark the opening at the Brewery on June 1st and. Tickets to the launch event are priced at €25 each and are on a first-come first-served basis with limited spaces available.
The exhibition will be on display to the public during general Guinness Open Gate Brewery hours, Thursday and Friday from 5:30pm – 10:30pm and Saturdays from 2.00pm – 8.00pm. Tickets are priced at €9 each and include a tasting paddle.
All images and artworks will be available for purchase during the exhibition.
