Arcade Fire’s Will Butler is to play a gig on April 25th in Whelan’s, playing songs with a four-piece band from his solo album Policy due out on Merge Records in March.
Tickets are €24+ on sale from Ticketmaster on Friday at 9am but I have a pair to giveaway before they go on sale which you can enter for via the widget below:
Policy has been described as “American music—in the tradition of the Violent Femmes, The Breeders, The Modern Lovers, Bob Dylan, Smokey Robinson, The Magnetic Fields, Ghostface Killah and John Lennon.”
Policy was recorded in one week in Jimi Hendrix’s old living room upstairs at Electric Lady Studios. Wil played almost everything but Jeremy Gara played drums and other musicians contributed woodwinds and backing vocals.
