Artlot returns to Electric Picnic with Child Of Prague, Rathaus, Lemonade Shoelace, Sharpson; And, He The Fool...

The eclectic arts and music stage announces a stacked bill of Irish talent for this year’s festival, from indie rock to house and techno.

Artlot has announced its lineup for Electric Picnic, and it’s another sprawling showcase of Irish talent across genres, alongside the stage’s usual mix of visual art, workshops and its Seomra Boíl room.

A few names worth circling from the bill:

Child Of Prague bring an Irish take on American Midwest emo, mixing trad, chamber pop and math-rock influences into their sound, drawing on Irish trad, jazz and math-rock alongside artists like Lisa Hannigan.

Lemonade Shoelace, the Belfast bedroom producer also known as Ruairí Richman, deals in sunshine psych-pop with a widescreen, breezy indie feel that’s made him a regular at showcases from SXSW to The Great Escape.

And, He The Fool are the Dublin/London-based seven-piece who specialise in theatrical art-rock and psychedelic pop, tinting their sound with melancholic harmonies and contemporary soul moving to a new wave-informed groove.

Sharpson brings his signature style of Dublin-accented vocals over rave tracks to the stage, the Choki Biki Records boss and London-based producer also known for his party trick of DJing backwards.

Rathaus round out the electronic contingent with their dark, gothic and dramatic dance sound, a fixture on Dublin’s club night circuit.

They’re joined by a huge supporting cast including Modeā, Croíthe, Smithereens, Some One’s Sons, Jamie Ennis, Curfew, Kapayja, The Wu, The Blow In’s, The Voodoo Kitchen, The Gladstone Band, Mykology, The Wires, Mac Steady, People_Like_Us, Ember, Claudia O, Adzyob, A/K, Budly, DJ Beks, Lucas Ogma, Phil Kenny, Flora, Bevel & Embody, The Vagabond Queen, Floody, Jordo Byrne, BarryB, Seanem, Adam Kelly and Kay.

Housed in an abandoned shipping container, Seomra Boil is a celebration of Irish club culture and features: Michelle McCormack, Eskay, Bláthnaid O’Toole, Jessica Maciel, Tuáthla, Leon Carter, Jack Madden, Luke Grogan, Dirty Disco, Aaron L, Paulo and Disco Box Collective.

Electric Picnic takes place this August.
