Tropical Fuck Storm, the avant-garde noise rock band from Australia, were one of the highlights of 2018 in terms of new and interesting rock bands. I’d highly recommend their debut LP A Laughing Death In Meatspace.
The group’s abrasive and gritty take on noise rock is parallel with a desire for social and political change. The band are distinctly anti-toxic masculinity, anti-establishment and land more than a couple of excellent points on drug policy and mental health stigmas on their superb lead single ‘You Let My Tyres Down’. It’s fresh, vibrant and, at times, sonically challenging.
The band have been busy of late, gearing up for the release of their 2nd album Braindrops, which is due out on August 23rd.
Their brand new single ‘Paradise’, is an excellent insight into the direction the band may be heading on that new album.

The band have announced a gig in Whelan’s on November 4th. Tickets, at €16+, go on sale this Thursday from the Ticketmaster site.
