After a couple of EPs and singles, Vampire Weekend’s Chris Baio returns to his solo dance project Baio for a full album entitled The Names due out on September 18th on Glassnote.
‘Brainwash Yyrr Face’ alternates between delicate Baio-sung verses and sped up vocal hooks. The song is reminscent of a Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs track.
The song is on Spotify.
The record takes it title from Don Delillo’s 1982 novel. Of the album, Baio said, “The Names is a record that has reverberated through my mind for much of the last five years. Its themes began to take shape when I moved from New York to London in 2013.”
