It’s a surprise in 2016 to see artists of any kind, established or otherwise actually make a really good music video (or make a music video at all really) and Beck has done just that.
Channeling the whimsy of his peak for the buzz, the video he co-directed with Grady Hall features random imagery of kids dancing, slow motion jumps, zebra crossing zen, weird animations, rose eyes and Beck Hansen himself. It showcases different types of Instagram-friendly artists as linked here. The brief given to them was a “music video art gallery.”
Beck’s new album is supposedly coming on October 21. It’ll be his thirteenth album.
