Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch, Aoife Nessa Frances, Lemoncello and more for International Literature Festival Dublin

The annual International Literature Festival Dublin programme has been announced for this May.

Noted speakers from the literary world this year include Shon Faye, Roxane Gay, Serhii Plokhy, Wendy Erskine & Lisa Harding, Vincenzo Latronico, Myles Dungan on Captain Boycott and
Avi Shlaim on Genocide in Gaza: Israel’s Long War on Palestine.


Most events take place in the Merrion Square park hub.

Among speakers and performers are Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian playing some of the band’s classic hits, and talking fiction, songwriting, and his debut novel.

There will be performances from Aoife Nessa Frances, Lemoncello, Holly Munro, Joshua Burnside and District presents events with contemporary trad, female spoken word artists and Sean-nós singers.

Erin Fornoff’s We Are An Archipelago will also get a live performance with a full band that features pianist Patrick O’Laoghaire (I Have A Tribe), Dominic Mullan on drums, and Caimin Gilmore on double bass.


And of course, all the usual family friendly, kids and multimedia events.
