Avatar

The Wider Than Pictures series is returning this summer to the grounds of the National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks, after last year’s run featuring Fleet Foxes, Alt-J and Simply Red.

Up first on Monday August 21st is the Swedish folk sisters of First Aid Kit.

Sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg will bring First Aid Kit, characterised by melodic folk, Americana influences and modern contemplative pop music to Collins Barracks.

Support is from English singer-songwriter Nick Mulvey, a founding member of the Portico Quartet also.

First Aid Kit first emerged in 2009 with covers of Fleet Foxes, and have collaborated with artists like Jenny Lewis and Conor Oberst. Their fifth album Palomino was released in November 2022, and the video for the song ‘Out of My Head’ was shot in and around Dublin in July of last year.
