First Listen: Rosa Nutty’s Pips EP
Dublin singer-songwriter Rosa Nutty last month gave us a song about “Dublin, Club Lemon and feeling sorry for yourself,” in ‘Fizzy’.
Now, the Pips EP, from which that song is taken from has been released and features five tracks. ‘Alternator’ is an understated atmospheric full band cut, ‘Hives’ is a song Nutty wrote for her little sister, ‘I’m Your Baby’ is a song inspired by Frida Kahlo and “idiosyncratic women who were ahead of their time”), while ‘Drive’, my personal favourite is a song which inspires the EP title with the line “Screw comes loose, but life’s a fruit.”
