Gaptoof releases standout EP featuring contributions from Yenkee and Soft Boys Kojaque & Kean Kavanagh
The Cork-based producer Gaptoof has stepped into the light and released a solo EP after providing a number of key beats for Soft Boy Records in recent years.
The Looks Like Rain EP is a followup to his Marina Tapes releases, and sees Adam Gould team up with Soft Boys Kean Kavanagh and Kojaque on two separate tracks.
Elsewhere, there are features from East London rapper Kofi Stone, Cork’s Yenkee, vocalist Celia Tiab, and R&B singer Mimikat.
The productions stick to bright Dilla-style soul beats and jazzy bright chord productions. It’s a fine step up for the producer.
