Woah. This is something. Four Tet teeming up with Neneh Cherry already happened on a remix of a track from the singer’s The Cherry Thing and I know Four Tet likes his old-school rap so the presence of The Jungle Brothers’ Afrika Baby Bam is explainable too. ‘Nina’ has an old-school vibe too: of ’70s revolutionary black music, of political poet/musicians like Gil Scott Heron, of ’90s rap like Bahamadia. Four Tet provides the African drum engine for this warm and positive song. There are more collabs like this on the way it seems. No release info as yet.
