Hunters Moon Festival takes place this weekend
Hunters Moon Festival is a three-day indoor festival which explores and celebrates the world of strange, minimal, noise, psychedelic and experimental art in sound and visuals. It takes place in four venues this weekend, Friday October 25th – Sunday 27th in Carrick on Shannon in Co Leitrim, with a maximum of 250 people able to attend.
I can’t say I know many of the performers but they include:
Ivan Pawle of Dr. Strangely Strange, Rhys Chatham, Zomes (Thrill Jockey), Consumer Electronics, Control Unit, Jennifer Walshe, Nacht Und Nebel, Miaux, School Tour and more.
Films screenings include Pat Collins’ acclaimed Silence about a sound recordist, The Source Family documentary about ’70s utopian living and There is no Escape From The Terrors of the Mind.
There will also be workshops in how to build fuzz pedals and circuit bending. Hunters Moon Festival is a different kind of event indeed.
Hunters Moon festival tickets are €57.75 for the weekend or €32.75 per day now available at Bell, Book and Candle (Galway), The Design House (Carrick on Shannon), Elastic Witch (Dublin), Into the Void (Dublin), Skullduggery Tatu (Belfast) and Plug’d (Cork) and online.
