New Irish radio airplay charts are here via Yangaroo
I brought you news of Yangaroo Music Ireland, a new service for artists and radio stations that is is aiming to make it easier for independent Irish musicians to get their music on the airwaves.
It’s doing that be standardising delivery for independent artists so that the music arrives in one place.
In addition, Yangaroo is now partnering with RadioMonitor to introduced new Irish music airplay charts to show what Irish music is on air in a given week.
The charts are on YangarooMusic.ie for registered media (signup) and cover breaking and current Irish music charts. This helps identify the things that are being supported and breaking by media at the moment, which should increase awareness and encourage further playlisting/featuring.
To give you an idea here’s this week’s top 5 in breaking Irish music.

2. The Academic – Mixtape 2003
3. Picture This – Let’s Be Young
4. Apella – We Met At A Party
5. James Vincent McMorrow – Rising Water
