Irish producer Sal Dulu has released his new song ‘Nafuchsia’ on the label.
The track is the first we’ve heard from the musician since his under-rated 2021 album Xompulse.
The Xompulse album drew on downtempo jazzy hip-hop productions, ambient music and electronica, and featured guests like Fly Anakin, Koncept Jack$on and staHHr (aka Angelina who previously featured on MF DOOM records). Xompulse has the set intention of exploring “nostalgia and the liminal spaces between dreams and reality acting as a collection of ten idiosyncratic “dreams” with each one providing a different tangent.”
‘Nafuchsia’ continues in the experimental vein of his previous work – a cacophony of strings, jazz percussion, choral and sonic elements.
It’s Sal Dulu’s first for the label Lex Records, known for releases of MF Doom, Chuck Strangers, Fly Anakin, Eyedress and more.
Watch the visualiser for the track by Yoshi Sodeoka.
